Crosstown

Privacy Policy

Effective November 5, 2026

Crosstown is a daily NYC subway puzzle at subwaygrid.com. This page explains what information the game uses, why, and the choices you have. You don’t need an account to play, and we never ask for your name or email.

What stays on your device

The game saves a few things in your browser’s local storage so it works the way you expect:

You can erase all of this at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser settings.

Scores and the daily ranking

When you finish a daily grid, the game sends your result to our server so everyone can see where they rank. That result contains the grid number, your random player ID, your points, how many squares you filled and how many wrong guesses you made. It contains nothing that identifies you. Scores are only used to show the daily ranking, and we delete them automatically after 12 months.

Hosting

The site runs on Cloudflare. Like any website host, Cloudflare processes technical information such as your IP address and browser type to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

Advertising

We use Google AdSense to show ads, which keeps the game free.

If you visit from the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, you’ll be asked for consent before personalized ads are shown, and you can change your choice later.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live (for example in the EU, the UK or California), you may have the right to see, correct or delete information about you, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for advertising.

Your player ID on this device: none yet (it’s created when you finish a daily grid)

Children

Crosstown is a general-audience game and isn’t directed at children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children.
